So, they started in 1991 in Winnipeg, Mb, Canada. So far they have 3 full length albums and a split I'd Rather be Flagburning (with I-Spy). They used to be on Fat Wreck Chords but now they moved to and run the label named G-7 Welcoming Committee. They also had some minor LPs and stuff like Where Quality is Job No1. First ones who decided to start the band were Jord and Chris. They lived in some small town in Manitoba, and went to high school together. When they moved to Winnipeg they met John and started the band. Once they were playing with NOFX in Winnipeg and later talked to Fat Mike (from NOFX) and he was just starting Fat Wreck Chords. So they sent him some demos and he liked them and that's how Propagandhi ended up on Fat. John played on Less Talk, More Rock., but later left from Propagandhi and now plays in a band named The Weakerthans, which is also on G-7 Records. So then Chris was on some party and he met Todd (from I-Spy) and now Todd plays bass for Propagandhi.
If you're really into punk, than you probably already know that it's more the way of living than only the music. If you're only listening to Green Day and Lagwagon, you probably don't even know what am I talking about. It is all about changing your corrupt lifestyle that has been enforced on you by the others to the clean, smart and cruelty free one! There's not really much for me to say since the essays speak for themselves. To make it shorter: smash capitalism, fuck religion, stop eating animals, stop homophobia, confront fascism and stop environment polution!

    Some facts about the band:

  • g.e./p. in song Showdown means it is made of 2 parts: first one (Greenest Eyes) written by John and the other one (Preamble) written by Chris.
  • Chris' father was in military which influenced him to write I Was a Pre-Teen McCarthyist.
  • Ska Sucks was put together to piss of nazi skins in Winnipeg who liked ska music. It wasn't supposed to be on the record and they don't play it anymore because they don't actualy think ska sucks. Rudy is as in The Specials' song A Message To You, Rudy.
  • John wrote and sang Anchorless, Ska Sucks, Gifts and a part of Showdown.
  • Anchorless is a song to John's Grandpa.
  • Gifts is John's personal song.
  • Tricke down (as in Rio De San Atlanta, Mb) the idea that with the rich generating money it makes society better, and P.R.=public relation campaigns - propagandha advertisment of the rich.
  • Neo Colonials (as in Nation States) are the new wave of colonialists (i.e. the USA, large corporations, mainly nations who govern over other countries with force/economic policies), IMF, World Bank.
  • In the beginning of State-Lottery is Noam Chomsky on total domination of corporate owned government.

    • -Hammerskins (as in The Only Good Fascist...) are some white-pride opsessed fuckheads that belive in some old Germanic gods, thinking they will help them with their mission.
    -Norse-God is a god from Scandinavian mythology.
